A rising talent in the national hunt field, Beau Morgan is a jockey to watch for many people, and now that he’s shown his talent, he’ll be looking to bag some big race wins to his name over the next few years.

Making his racecourse debut in April 3, 2021, he was a point-to-point rider before this but has now moved to make a name for himself in professional racing. He would secure the first rules victory of his career in November 2021.

Beau has a strong racing family behind him, which has definitely helped his progress so far. He is the brother of Luca, who was conditional champion jockey in 2023, while his mother is a racehorse owner and has been involved in the sport for many years.

Alongside this, Beau has a strong partnership with trainer Ben Pauling, who has proven to be a big help to his career, both on and off the track.

The horse that has given Morgan his biggest days so far is Twig, and that’s a horse which underlines the family connection above. Owned by his mother, Morgan rides Twig in every race.

They combined to give Morgan his biggest win to date when winning the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter in 2023 to kickstart their partnership. But that’s not all, Morgan picked up his first Cheltenham Festival ride in 2024, and the horse he rode was, of course, Twig.

They would run in the Ultima Handicap Chase, and almost won, finishing second and running with great respect.

Morgan would have his first Grand National ride in the 2025 renewal at Aintree, and you can probably guess that the horse who took him there was, of course, Twig. The pair would go around Aintree well and would complete the course at the first try for both of them, finishing in 10th position and returning home safely.
