The horse Pathfinder won the 1875 Grand National, getting on top in the closing stages and winning the race by half a length.
Coming home at odds of 100/6, he was the first home from 19 runners who began the race, which was run on ground described as good, good to soft in places.

The winning jockey this particular year was Tommy Pickernell, and this was the third and final win of his excellent career as a rider.
