2024 Grand National
Galia Des Liteaux is a mare that rides best on soft ground and that was what she had at the Grand National 2024.. She placed 8th, being ridden by Harry Skelton.
Staying midfield for the early part of the race, benefitting from the daylight and space around her, the good to soft ground and Harry Skelton knowing her well, the was a good chance of a place at least.
It seems that there was an error at fence eight which will have given her a wobble but she soon made up for it. At fence 29 towards the very end we see Galia Des Liteaux next to the leader at the time, Latenightpass suggesting there really are many horses in with a good chance. Perhaps at this point she was beginning to tire as during the run in to the end you could see her weaken and her stamina drifted allowing others to pass on by.
A young horse still with great promise being ridden by the ever gentle Harry Skelton.
