Threeunderthrufive Grand National Wins
Threeunderthrufive has never won the Grand National.
They have never finished the race.

Foaled in 2015, Threeunderthrufive grew to become a very versatile horse, showcasing a good level of ability regardless of the type of racing, distance or ground conditions.
Owned by the McNeill family and put in training with Paul Nicholls, the horse has been amongst the better runners within his yard for some years now.
His Grand National debut would come in 2025, after progressing to both chase contests, and also longer distance races. Running well in top quality handicaps put the horse in contention, but unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for him, as he was pulled up by jockey Harry Skelton at fence 22.

Threeunderthrufive’s Early Career

Earlier in his career, national hunt flat races saw a win and a second placed finish and that excellent early form was carried into hurdling after. He would record four wins from his first six starts over hurdles, showing that he had potential as a youngster.
Chasing was next, and in the 2021/22 season, when he started over the bigger fences, he would record a hat trick, including a Grade Two victory in December at Doncaster.
Moving on a season, and going into open company, he would find life tougher, but managed to place in a Grade Three handicap chase at Cheltenham in December. Further forward, in 2024, he would win the Swinley Chase at Ascot, under top weight of 12 stone, a really big achievement for any horse.
It was this win, and other performances over longer trips, that led to him being aimed at the Grand National.
